April 22, 2025 (Toronto, ON) – A new poll by Liaison Strategies for the National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada (NEPMCC), the industry association representing Canada’s non-official language newspapers, TV, radio, and online news media, finds the Liberals leading with 43% (no change) to the Conservatives 37% (no change).

The rolling survey, conducted from April 19 to April 21, 2025, used interactive voice response technology to poll 1,500 Canadian voters. The results have a margin of error of +/- 2.53%, 19 times out of 20.

Liaison Strategies, a member of the Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC), was the most accurate polling firm in the 2025 Ontario Provincial Election.

David Valentin, Principal at Liaison Strategies, said the following:

It's deja vu, as we have the same topline numbers today as yesterday. The race, as a whole, has been remarkably stable though there are some small changes in the regional numbers.

n Quebec, the Bloc Québécois has dropped three points to 24% and is now in third place, just behind the Conservatives at 25%. The Liberals continue to lead the province with 40%.

In Ontario, the Liberals have gained a point - minor movement, but not the direction the Conservative campaign would be hoping for.

Meanwhile, in British Columbia, the Liberals hold a 3-point lead, while the NDP has inched up to 15% in the province.

With Election Day fast approaching, it’s becoming increasingly clear that the outcome will be a Liberal government. Whether that means a minority or a majority, however, is still too early to call.

Today, the Conservatives are set to release their platform, while Mr. Carney continues campaigning in Quebec. A leader’s schedule often signals where campaigns see opportunities - or vulnerabilities - so it’ll be interesting to watch where they head in the coming days.
