Acadie—Annapolis: Liberals lead by 15
December 4 (Ottawa, ON) – A new Liaison Strategies riding poll for the National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada shows new Liberal MP, Chris d'Entremont firmly in the lead in Acadie—Annapolis after crossing the floor. Today’s release is the third in a series of daily riding polls Liaison will publish this week following yesterday's poll of Vancouver Kingsway and an earlier poll of Eglinton—Lawrence.
Conducted from November 28 to 30, 2025, using Interactive Voice Response (IVR), the survey polled 513 voters in Acadie—Annapolis. The margin of error is ±4.3 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.

Turning national or provincial numbers into a clear seat-by-seat picture is rarely straightforward. This week, we’ve focused on four ridings to get a better sense of how this minority parliament is playing out on the ground - and it’s been especially interesting to tease out what’s happening in Acadie—Annapolis where the Conservative MP crossed the floor.
Although the last election here was razor-thin, decided by just 533 votes, if an election were held today it appears floor-crosser Chris d’Entremont would win comfortably. Liberal support is heavily concentrated among older voters: they dominate with seniors, leading 66% to 27% among those 65 and over, but trail the Conservatives among both 18–34 year-olds and voters aged 35–49.
Luckily for the Liberals this is a riding full of seniors where 59% of the adult population is over the age of 50.
In Eglinton–Lawrence the Prime Minister had a +14 net approval, in Vancouver Kingsway it was a +4; welcome to Acadie—Annapolis where it is a +21.
All told, things are looking favourable for Chris d’Entremont. The dynamic here is reminiscent of Scott Brison’s move to the Liberals in neighbouring Kings–Hants: he was first elected as a Progressive Conservative, crossed the floor, and then went on to enjoy a long and successful run as a Liberal MP. Only time will tell if things will be similar here or if the Conservatives will recruit a high-profile challenger that could shake things up.
